What is education marketing – education for marketing or marketing for education?

Education marketing is a term that carries two different meanings for two different markets.

Education marketing for the marketers means a type of marketing tact wherein the marketers educate the customers about the product or service provided by the company. In contrast to this, education marketing for educators means marketing to educators. These days, this term is used interchangeably by the industry players from both the industries, simultaneously.

Based on the specific industry requirements, there are different channels used by the marketers and the educators for promoting education marketing. Based on past experience as a marketer in the education industry, I have a decent experience about both the processes. With this post, I plan to use this thread to discuss both the aspects of education marketing.

I request the fellow bloggers from marketing, education and publishing industry to provide with their inputs and actively participate in the discussion.
